It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gibbie McMillan of Kentwood, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on August 17, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fernie Edward McMillan and Lilly Blanchette Conerly; his parents-in-law, E. P. and Kitty McDaniel; and his brother Glenn McMillan.
He is survived by: his wife Katera McDaniel McMillan; his daughters, Rachel Rhodes (Adam) and Rebekah Powers (Michael); his grandchildren, Dylan, Harper and Jackson; his sister Linda Callihan (Robert); his uncle Gerald McMillan (Emily); and his aunts, Beverly Gex and Debbie McMillan.
Friends are invited to celebrate Gibbie's life on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at New Zion Baptist Church (We encourage wearing a mask.).
