He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Linn Sims; and his parents, Marion Sims and Alma Sims (Futch). He is survived by: his children, Jonesboro-Hodge, Cynthia Cole and David Sims (Rebecca Hedly); his grandchildren, Brandon Cole (Amber), Sean Sims and Ava Grace Sims; his great grandchild Lincoln Cole; and his sister Marion Eunice Bunner.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Jonesboro-Hodge United Methodist Church.
