She was predeceased by: her husband James Lee Culpepper; her son Steven Culpepper; and her parents, Charlie Kirtley and Maude Kirtley (Ford). She is survived by: her children, Jeanie Nugent (Billy), Mark Culpepper (Anne), Randy Culpepper (Telena) and Jennifer Culpepper; and her grandchildren, Brandy Chestnut of Katie Nugent, T. J, Haley Culpepper, Keely Carpenter, Baliee Westbrook, Todd Droddy, Kelsey Keith and Jack Culpepper. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
