With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Allen Lormand in Jennings, Louisiana, born in Morse, Louisiana, who passed away on September 30, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Lormand and Lourise Lormand (Stutes); his wife Mary Gerner Lormand; and his brothers, Rufus Leo Lormand, Newton D. Lormand, Sr. and Merlyn Lormand.
He is survived by: his daughter Winona Armijo (Sam); his sister-in-law Penny Lormand (Rufus); and his nephews, Chris Lormand, Billy Lormand (Debbie) and Doug Lormand (Jessica). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
After retiring from the Army, among his proudest accomplishments were his remarkable contributions to the community.
