He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Tweedel and Helen Gotreaux Tweedel; and his siblings, Lionel Tweedel, Juanita Fontenot and Earline Rider.

He is survived by: his wife Anarlos Tanilon Tweedel; his children, Charles N. Tweedel, Jr. and Erica Tweedel; his stepson Alex Santibanez; his brothers, Kenneth Tweedel and Frank "Butch" Tweedel; and his grandchildren, Cade Tweedel, Juliana Godeaux and Jaxton Tweedel.
