He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wade Long and Cornelia "Sis" Lincoln; his stepfather James Thomas "Abe" Lincoln; his siblings, Paul Anthony "Tony" Long and Ruby Janice "Sissy" Norton; and his granddaughter Shelby Paige VanHoozen.

He is survived by: his children, Kevin Long of Jena and Holly VanHoozen (Long) of Trout; his brother Hugh Eugene "Gene" Long (Cheryl) of Fayetteville, AR; and his grandchildren, Baily LeighAnn Long, Zachary David Long, Hannah Allyce VanHoozen, Wyatt Spencer Long and Aaliyah Paige Visoria. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends.
