He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hubert Mitchell and Alice Fradonia Mitchell (White); his wife Evelyn Estelle Mitchell (Corley); his siblings, Bennie Wayne Mitchell, Albert Maxwell Mitchell and Melba Campbell (Ovie); his siblings-in-law, Verna Appleby, Verla Stringer, Lewis Corley and Matthew Corley; and his niece Robin Slack.
He is survived by: his son Tim Mitchell (Theresa); his sister Diane Jones (Joe); his grandsons, Cody Mitchell (Sarah) and Matthew Mitchell (Krysten); his great grandchildren, Nate Mitchell, Addi Mitchell, Riley Lemonine and Blakely Mitchell; and his siblings-in-law, Virginia Mitchell, Bess Slack, Linda Nolker, Harold (Nelda Corley) and Bill Appleby. He is also survived by nephews, nieces and friends.
