He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Jackson and Stazel Vallo Spencer; his brother Gilbert Jackson; and his nephew Christopher Jackson. He is survived by: his children, Cindy George of New Iberia, Patrice Butler (Steven) of New Iberia, Lynwood Gonsoulin (Pamela) of Lafayette, Frederica Gibson (Gerald) of New Iberia, Chrystal Dominique (Alvin) of New Iberia, Marlin Mouton of St. Martinville, Roderick Gonsoulin (Cherelle) of New Iberia and Wilbert J. Jackson, Jr. (Tajakia) of Jeanerette; and his siblings, Lorena M. Guerin of Fort Worth, Texas and Irvin Dauphine (Olivia) of Pensacola, Florida. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and his beloved cat.
