He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Ortego and Velma Doucet Ortego; and his sister Norma Sharp. He is survived by: his siblings, Denise Ingram (Allen) of Lafayette, Cynthia Thomasee of Houma, Warren Ortego (Judy) of Houma and Tracey Ortego (Annette) of Opelousas.
