She was predeceased by: her parents, John Babineaux and Alida Babineaux (Cradeur); her spouses, Roy Wade Hanchey, John C. Key and Lee Boudoin; her grandson Brandon DeFries; and her great grandchildren, Paityn, Bryker, Jabari and Taysom Alexander.
She is survived by: her children, Wade Hanchey (Christine), Mona Hanchey DeFries (Larry), Kathy Hanchey Derouen (Terry), Ellen Hanchey Fontenot (Darrell Schexnayder) and Elaine Hanchey Newman (Robert); her sister Anne Brewer; and her caregivers, Gerry Guillory and Sherry Peshoff. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
