He was predeceased by: his parents, Sallie LeFranc and Louis Brashear; his wife Una Brashear; his daughter Gail Daigle; and his siblings, Inez, Thelma, Vernice, Elwell, LeRoy, Herbert, Carson, Shirley, Christine, Lola, Dorothea and Lucille.
He is survived by: his sons, Jim Brashear and Andy Brashear (Lisa); his brother Thomas "Buster" Brashear (Betty); and his grandchildren, Rachael L. Holmes (John), Josh Brashear (Jessica), Jeb Brashear (Kalah) and Shellby Hilton (Michael). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
