With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Vernon Nunez of Iowa, Louisiana, who passed away on August 15, 2021 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Dale Nunez, Sr. and Laura Jane Theriot; his son Vernon Joseph "Joe" Nunez; and his siblings, Bernard Dale "Boy" Nunez, Jr., Juanita Savoie and Arnita "Petie" Barentine.

He is survived by: his wife Alice Nunez; his children, Kathy Nunez of Iowa, Stephanie Nunez of Iowa and Ronnie Nunez (Sara) of Iowa; his sisters, Henrietta "Sissy" Childers and Cassandra Elaine Daigle (Gilbert); and his grandchildren, Jonathan, Shawn, Olivia and Evan Nunez.
