Charles Houchins Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Houchins (Iowa, Louisiana), born in Montgomery, West Virginia, who passed away on August 9, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Houchins and Evelyn Houchins; his wife Sandy Sue Soles; and his sister Junelle Avery. He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Houchins (Brendan McCallum), Betsy Houchins (Hal Lunsford) and Carrie Houchins-Witt (Corey Houchins-Witt); his grandchildren, Olivia, Sean, Gavin, Christian, Waylon and Carter Birch; and his brother Gene Houchins Jr.. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren, the Maharrys, church friends.
Due to the COVID pandemic, we are not able to have a proper funeral to celebrate Chig's life at this time.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Windsor United Methodist Church or the Michael J. Fox Foundation, since Chig was proud to live a full and active life despite his Parkinson's diagnosis in 1999.
