He was predeceased by: his parents, John Guzzardo and Lena Sampere Guzzardo; his wife Sara Campo Guzzardo; and his siblings, Joe, Pete, George Guzzardo, Josephine Franciamore, Minnie Garafola, Mary Vilardo and Carmela Guzzardo.
He is survived by: his children, B. J. Guzzardo Jr., Jerome Guzzardo (Julie), Madelene Pisciotta (Ronald), Ann Guzzardo, Lorraine Guzzardo and Sara Harrell (John); his grandchildren, Rex, Elissa, Ryan, Taylar, Logan Guzzardo, Sarah Drude, Leslie Cormier, Christopher, Ronald, Jude Pisciotta, Jessica Finley, Michael, Galan Gagneaux, Amber Trapen, Heather, Eric and Zachary Harrison; his great grandchildren, Charley, Kendal, Avery Guzzardo, Noah Conde, Lane Drude, Kady, Chloe, Hudson Cormier, Lathan McDonald, Brinkleigh, Oaklyn, Ellie McKee, Sebastian, Christian, Madelene, Giovanni Pisciotta, Destini Dorsa, Joseph, Joshua Soniat, Grace Finley, Caden, Aubree Gagneaux, Mikey, Bryce, Gianna, Gabriel Trapen, Benjamin, William, Isabella Robinson, Loxley Harrison, Jude, Adrian, Mary Claire and Cassian Pisciotta; and his great great grandchild Sophia Pisciotta. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, Mater Dolorosa Catholic School of Independence or the National World War II Museum of New Orleans.
