He was predeceased by: his wife Gwen Thomas; and his parents, Eddie Thomas and Hazel Thomas. He is survived by: his children, Twyla Thomas, Vanessa Thompson (Mark), Jimmy Thomas (Lori) and Joey Thomas (Yvonne); his grandchildren, Josie, Gwendolyn Thompson, Jonah, Noah Thomas and Sarah Dupre; his great grandchild Cleo Sanchez; his sister Anna Mizell (Johnny); and his brother-in-law Terry Bankston.
