With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virgil J Arceneaux in Gonzales, Louisiana, who passed away on December 10, 2022 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Arceneaux and Lena Bourgeois Arceneaux; and his siblings, Wilton Arceneaux, Ruth Sheets, Myrtle Louviere, Helen Gautreau, Gladys Arceneaux and Mildred Bercegeay.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Smith Arceneaux; his children, Barney D. Arceneaux (Betty) and Bridget Arceneaux Marino (Ken); his grandchildren, Tasha Arceneaux Farrell (B. J.), Shelly Arceneaux Graham (Russell) and Jade Bardwell Gautreaux (Vance); his great grandchildren, Jude Graham, McKenzie Graham, Megan Farrell, Braden Farrell, Corbin and Cambry Gautreaux; and his sister Shirley Moore.
