It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Carl Lilje of Gonzales, Louisiana, who passed away on January 14, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl H. Lilje and Jennie L. Coy Lilje. He is survived by: his sister Judith Enger (Eldon); his son Joseph Bumpus (Stacey); his grandchildren, Anna Bumpus and Liam Bumpus; and his brother Brook.

Will make a donation in his name to the national ski patrol.

“I am sorry to hear about Ken’s death. I spent quite a bit of time with Ken during our college years. I was at OSU studying chemical engineering while Ken was at Capital University in chemistry. He was my go to consultant for help with my organic chemistry courses. Ken was such a good guy to just hang with. Ken was in my wedding & we stay connected in our early career time. I tried to reconnect with him in Midland but he had just moved. I am sorry for all the people he left behind. Jim Nycz”
