She was predeceased by: her parents, Adam Lavigne and Dena Bercegeay Lavigne; her husband Ellis Alvin Nickens; and her grandson Troy Blair. She is survived by: her children, Shelia Blair (Roger), Terry Nickens (Patrice), David Nickens (Wanda), Sharon Mitchell (Danny), James Nickens (Lisa) and Darren Nickens (Mary); and her sister Verna Mae Andrews. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
