She was predeceased by: her husband George Wilburn Wells; and her father Alfred "Pobo" Michel. She is survived by: her mother Julie Lessard Michel; her son John Dirk Denham (Doreen); her siblings, Mary Bruno (Tony), Jimmy Michel (Shirley) and Johnny Michel (Renee); and her grandchildren, Erick, Elizabeth and Edward.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private graveside service was held at New River Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to New River Baptist Church.
