He was predeceased by: his sisters, Carolyn Jean Horstmann and Lisa Horstmann; and his parents, George Henry Horstmann, Jr. (Lisa) and Beryl Chailland Horstmann. He is survived by: his pet Ouisa; his wife Colleen Cassidy Horstmann; his children, Kimberly Stevens (Wyatt), Nicole Lynn Horstmann, Shaylene Matthews (Kyle) and George Henry Horstmann, IV; his granddaughters, Katie, Gracie, Ella, Riley and Cate; and his brothers, Roy Maggio (Ume) and Rene Horstmann.
