It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Evelyn Smith of Ferriday, Louisiana, born in Baskin, Louisiana, who passed away on January 16, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Perely Seymour and Prentis Jerrett Seymour; her siblings, Nolan Seymour, JB Seymour, Doyle Seymour (Dayton Seymour), Juanita Staggs and Ruby Mae Clingan; her daughter Anita Jeanette Myers; and her grandsons, Kyle Myers and Eric Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Benard Smtih (Tanya) of Ferriday, LA, Karl Smith of Ferriday, LA and Theresa "Tootie" Bunning of Ferriday, LA; and her grandchildren, Brandy Hawley (Eric), Jason Myers, Nick Myers (Tiffany), Drew Hudnall, Charly Smith (Chris) and Meagan Ray (Aaron). She is also survived by 11 Great-Grandchildren.
