It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benton Ables of Ferriday, Louisiana, born in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, who passed away on September 29, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ables and Ruth Fredricks Ables; and his sisters, Lois Waller, Norma Byrnes and Jessie Lou Wallace.
He is survived by: his brother Charles Ables; his stepsons, C. J. Swillie, James Swillie and Ray Swillie; his brothers-in-law, Hershel Waller, Delbert Waller, Myles Smith, Dewitt Ezell and Roy Wallace; his son Edward Ables (Jeffery) of Ferriday, LA; his sisters, Katherine Ezell of Baskin, LA, Annie Swillie of Natchez, MS and Mary Ann Smith of Ridgecrest, LA; his daughters-in-law, Annie Swillie, Patricia Swillie and Susie Ables Swillie; his sister-in-law Shirley Milan of Conroe, TX; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Walker, Stephanie Swillie, Chasity Roberts, Jamie Swillie, Justin Swillie and David Swillie; and his great grandchildren, Benton Ray Swillie, C. J. McDonald and Kaitlyn McDonald. He is also survived by Nieces and Nephews.
