He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Stamper and Lena Belle Watson; and his siblings, Leeman and Merlene. He is survived by: his sister-in-law Barbara; his nephews, Michael and Tommy; his niece Linda; and his friends, Korbin, Allen, Thomas Tripp and Barry Delcambre.
Freeman could often be seen on campus attending athletic events, VAPA concerts and performances, ULM Foundation and just about every alumni association event.
