Austin G. Smith Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 25, 2025, at the age of 80, Austin G. Smith of Eunice, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Austin is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Austin's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hillman Smith and Maria Rider Smith; and his daughter Susan Smith. He is survived by: his children, Kirk Smith (Jill) of Eunice and Bridget Klein (Scott) of Eunice; and his siblings, Herman Smith (Susan) of Texas, Winston Smith (Kathy) of Juno, Alaska and Lucille Shamburger (Mark) of Baton Rouge. He is also survived by five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; as well as extended family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Ardoin's Funeral Home (1301 W Laurel Ave, Eunice, LA 70535). A Mass will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church (1011 Sittig St, Eunice, LA 70535).
