She was predeceased by: her husband Sherwood Burnitt; her children, Larry Burnitt (Phyllis) and Eb Burnitt (Vivian Marie); her great grandchild Maddie Matthews; her siblings, Tene Perkins, JD Stanley, Orville Stanley and Jobo Stanley; and her parents, Gus Stanley and Dora Stanley.
She is survived by: her children, Dora Parker (Johnny), Donna Matthews (Danny), Eddie Burnitt (Karen) and Steve Burnitt. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hargrove Pentecostal Church (1079 Fields Hwy, Dequincy, LA 70633). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Hagar Cemetery.
