He was predeceased by: his former wife Alyce Quick Simmons; his son Gerald K. Simmons; and his parents, Thomas Simmons and Lorena Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Judy Sanders Simmons; his daughters, Cheryl Mitchell (David), Shereen Purvis (Gerald), Valerie Arnold (Dean) and Angela Goodwin (Otto); his stepdaughters, Laura Sanders and Amanda McMorris (Mickey); his grandchildren, Clint Purvis (Melissa), Carissa Purvis Pearson (Tyler), Victoria Mitchell Maerz, Cade Arnold (Angela), Dane Arnold, Kayleigh Arnold Van Tilburg (Ben), Lacy Helminiak (James), Clint Goodwin (Jade), Raemi Rabalais (Marc) and Brett Savoy; and his great grandchildren, Abigail Helminiak, Stetson Pearson, Cru Purvis, Levi Maerz, Steelie Pearson, Audrey Maerz, Bailey Maerz, Madeleine Maerz and Josie Rabalais. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
