He was predeceased by: his parents, Eunice Tolar and John Jordan Tolar; and his brothers, John L. Tolar (Louise) and Lancelot Tolar (Elizabeth). He is survived by: his wife Joyce Rogers; his sons, Scott of Kinston, David (Lynda) of Tampa, Patrick of Estes Park and Paul (Marianne) of Elmhurst; his nephew John Tolar, Jr. (Patricia) of Monroe; his nieces, Mary Louise Kuhn (Derwood) of Monroe and Jean Davis (Byron) of Isle; his grandchildren, Brook, Brittany, Logan, Will, Amanda, Kristopher, Michelle and Nicholas; and his great grandchild Briley.
