He is survived by: his wife Merle Curry of Delhi, Louisiana; his son Eddie; his children-in-law, Laura Thomas of Rayville, Louisiana and Terry Slawson of Eros, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Britney Wheat (Jeremy), Alexis Thomas Peralta, Alex Murray, Katelyn Weems (Jamie), Justyn Slawson (Jessica) and Ema Stewart (Fred); his great grandchildren, Eli Wheat, Lily Wheat, Micah Wheat, Thomas Weems and Ivey Mae Slawson; his brother Charles; and his sister-in-law Edda Curry of West Monroe, Louisiana..
