He is survived by: his wife Barbara "Gail" Onezine; his children, Christina Phillips (Lonell), Tynekie Collins, Reacha Aaron, Restella Aaron, Renique Aaron, Kei Andrea Baker, Jasha Harmon, Michael Collins, James J. Collins and Gilbert Charles Onezine Jr.; his siblings, Ranella Celestine (Clarence), Lillie Fontenot (Bob), Patricia Collins and Jimmy Woods (Alice); and his godchildren, Amos Wheeler and Yalonda Fontenot. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.
