He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor L. Schmitt, Sr. and Cornelia Mary Schmitt. He is survived by: his wife Carole Mary LeJeune Schmitt; his children, Richard Jr. (Marie), Mark (Joy), Victor (Robyn) and Celeste (Anthony); his grandchildren, Matthew (Lauren), Marissa (Doug), Aaron, Cameron, Taylor, Lillette and Alexis; and his great grandchild Leona Marina. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
