It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Philip Sharp of Covington, Louisiana, who passed away on March 2, 2021, at the age of 111, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Sharp and Della Sharp; his daughter Shirley S. McLain (George); his grandson George Kevin (Gwen); his great grandchild Samantha McLain Ungaro (Marcus); his great great grandchildren, Marcus Ungaro Jr. and George Philip; his former wife Beatrice J. Sharp; his wife Edna G. Sharp; and his siblings, Edith S. Loyd, Neva S. Lam, Ollie Sharp, Eunice S. Thomas, Kenzie Sharp, Veva S. Pittman (Pete), Leonard Sharp, Finis S. Jones, James Sharp (Buster), Victor Sharp and Royce Sharp. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made to the New Zion Baptist Church building fund.
