He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Earl Thorne and Regine Voisin Thorne; and his brother Roland Thorne. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Caspar Thorne; his sons, Doug Thorne (Nancy) and Jonathan Thorne (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Logan, Kristin, Garrett and Olivia Thorne; and his siblings, Joseph Hierling, Thomas Thorne, Richard Thorne and Monique Careddu. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
With COVID-19, restrictions social distancing and face masks are required to attend services.
