It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claudette N. Long (Covington, Louisiana), born in Mansura, Louisiana, who passed away on January 14, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Normand and Lilly Normand; her husband Francis Long; her sister Elizabeth Ducote; and her nephew Mark Ducote.

She is survived by: her nephews, David Ducote (Nancy) and Kenneth Ducote (Melinda); her great-nieces, Melanie Belcher (David), Rachel Ducote and Caroline Ducote; her great-nephew Paul Ducote; and also, Tyler and Kaitlyn.

Claudy would want all of her friends and family to gather to celebrate her life and right now, we recognize that this is not possible with COVID precautions in place.

“I was so saddened to hear about the loss of “Claudy”. Even though I moved from Madisonville 7 years ago we always got together when I came home to visit. She has been a friend for over 40 years and was truly one of the nicest and most loyal friends anyone could have. She was so positive and upbeat and never complained about the countless months of staying by Frank’s side during his illness. I will miss her terribly.”
