He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Charles and Lillian Pearl Grosse (Skinner); his wife Carolyn Durham of Salem; his son Herbert Fred "Chip" Grosse; his grandsons, Chad Grosse and Tommy Grosse; his brother Robert Grosse; and his parents-in-law, Willard and Lila Dukes Durham.
He is survived by: his friends, Dr. Ziske, Dr. George Imes and Dr. Herb Utgard; his children, Charles "Chuck" Willard Grosse (Nancy) of Atlanta, Georgia and Chandra Grosse Gordon (Joey) of Covington, Louisiana; his daughter-in-law Leslie Lee Grosse of Louisville; his grandchildren, Scot Lafferty, Shawn Lafferty, Chase Grosse, Stephen Grosse, Michael Grosse, Nickolas Gordon and Carolyn "Mia" Gordon; and his nieces and nephews, Denise, Kevin, Danny, Kirk, Elizabeth and Robert. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
