It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Paul Armand of Cottonport, Louisiana, who passed away on February 26, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Wesley Armand; his parents, Walter J. Armand and Effie Francois Armand; his brother Larry Armand; and his granddaughter Gabriella Pilar Armand.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Wyble Armand of Cottonport; his daughter Karla Armand Appleby (Scott) of Hessmer; his grandchildren, Liam Armand of Youngsville and Curry Cooper of Hessmer; his great grandchildren, Alli Gaspard of Hessmer and Cameron Cooper of St. Landry; his brother Chris Armand of Plaucheville; his daughter-in-law Lauren Armand Maples (Jason) of Youngsville; and his stepgrandchildren, Vincent Cruz of The Philippines and Jayvee Cruz of The Philippines.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 8:00 AM to 12:40 PM at the Escude Funeral Home (552 Front St, Cottonport, LA 71327). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Mary's Assumption Catholic Church (820 Front St, Cottonport, LA 71327).
