She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Thomas Richmond and Beatrice Taylor Richmond; and her siblings, Maurice Richmond, Elvin Richmond, Verna Mae Denison and Gladys McLain.
She is survived by: her husband Chester E. Stapleton; her sons, Chester R. Stapleton (Rhonda), Rickey Stapleton (Carolyn), Thomas Stapleton (Ann) and Robert Stapleton (Cheryl); and her sister Myrtle Sanders. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
