He was predeceased by: his parents, Zelma Hightower and Harvey Hightower; his sister Tommie Ann Roberts; his nephew Darren Johnston; his parents-in-law, Bud and Charlotte Hogg; and his brother-in-law Pete Parker.
He is survived by: his wife Dawn Hogg Hightower; his children, Cody Hightower (Peggy), Marcus Smith, Jamey Hightower, Sunny Hightower and Hannah Hightower; his grandchildren, Boston Hightower, Peyton Hightower, Bryleigh Deaton Hightower and Berlyn Emfinger Hightower; his sisters, Brenda Parker and Reba Steen (Mickey); and his brothers-in-law, Mark Hogg (Marsha) and Mike Hogg.
