He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Travis and Evelyn Travis; his sister Dinah Faye Travis; and his sister-in-law Sue Nell Travis. He is survived by: his children, April McKean (Billy), Lori Seal and Justin Travis (Malayne); his former wife Pam Travis; his grandchildren, Hayleigh McKean, Destinee Wills, Triston Licciardi, Brooklyn Kritzman, Carlynn Travis and Claire Travis; his brother Dickey Travis (Cindy); and his nephews, J. D. Travis and Stephen Peairs (Melinda).
