It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Viola Doucet (Church Point, Louisiana), who passed away on August 7, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Wilson Doucet; her granddaughter Tonya Briscoe; and her siblings, Marie Cissy Cormier, Anna Bergeron, Emmitt, Vorice, Ivan and Leonce Matte.
She is survived by: her children, Carl Doucet of Richard, Geraldine Doucet (Lloyd Courville) and Patsy D. McCoy of Richard; and her grandchildren, Karen (Steve Valois) of Church Point, Marty (Donna Faul) of Church Point, Cynthia (Kurt Granger) of Ball, Randall (Melinda "Yankee" Arabie) of Richard, Marla (Marcus Sattler) of Richard and Joanie (Jeff Gore) of Tioga. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren and thirty five great-great-grandchildren.
