He was predeceased by: his parents, Freddie Benoit and Lucille Hanks Benoit; his son Michael Brandon Benoit; his brother Roger Dale Benoit; and his niece Tessie Ann Doucet.
He is survived by: his wife Sunethra "Alisha" Benoit of Church Point; his children, Eric Benoit (Amber) of Church Point, Dr. Yohan Perera (Sheba Perera) of Sri Lanka and Erica Murphy of Alexandria, LA; his siblings, Fred Benoit (Pam), Dwayne "PaJoe" Benoit (Pam), Gene Benoit (Debbie) of Mire, LA, Elaine Latiolais (John Dale), Cindy Housley (Duane), Diann Doucet (Lubert) of Eunice, LA and Lisa Thibodeaux (Frank) of Crowley, LA; and his grandchildren, Anabelle, Bailey, Scarlet, Julianne Benoit, Charlotte, Hannah Murphy and Elijah Ridley.
