He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Young and Lediana L. Young; his brother-in-law Earl Pitre; and his goddaughter Lisa P. Mistric. He is survived by: his wife Helen S. Young of Church Point; his children, Melissa (Sunny Lyons) of Jennings, Stacey (Vince Deshotel) of Vidrine, Gregory (Brandie Young) of Church Point and Justin (Tiffany Young) of Church Point; and his sisters, Barbara Y. Pitre of Opelousas, Deanna (Harold Doucet) of Moss Bluff and Debbie (Hugh Guidry) of Opelousas. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
In Lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to St. Jude.
