She was predeceased by: her husband Earl Hopkins; her sons, James Roy and Bill Kent Hopkins; her parents, Roy Turpin and Zelpha Carruthers Turpin; her siblings, Roy Turpin and Doris May Turpin; her niece Doris Faye Duhon; and her great great grandchildren, Shelby Briggs and Rachel Lantz.
She is survived by: her children, Harry Hopkins (Joy), Lon Hopkins (Brenda) and Mary Hopkins Johnson (Mark Meadows) of Baton Rouge; and her daughter-in-law Monastel Hopkins of Church Point. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
