She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Howard Frye, Sr. and Daloris L. Aucoin. She is survived by: her husband John Melancon of Church Point; her children, Dawn (Stacey Knowles) of Lafayette and John Paul Melancon of Rayne; and her siblings, Tammy Frye of Lafayette, Gretchen Cross of Leesville, Barcley Guidry of Lafayette, Shawn Frye of German, Fernand "Paco" Guidry Frye of Oklahoma and Norman Frye Church Point. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
