It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elma Marie Lapeyrouse Bernard of Chalmette, Louisiana, born in Chauvin, Louisiana, who passed away on May 16, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Norman Bernard; and her parents, Caliste T. Lapeyrouse and Octavia M. Portier Lapeyrouse. She is survived by: her siblings, Druby Lapeyrouse (Eulice Lapeyrouse St. Pe), Dolores Lapeyrouse Hebert, Joyce Lapeyrouse May and Nolan Lapeyrouse (Luby Lapeyrouse). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, along with many other cousins and dear friends.
