He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Lafaye and Mildred Jackson; and his sister Peggy Kendrick. He is survived by: his wife Doris Davis Lafaye of Lafayette; his son Bryan Lafaye of Portland, OR; his stepchildren, Mark Anthony Gay (Monique) of Michigan, Carol Godeau (Dylan) of Crowley and Lisha Ishee of Kingwood, TX; and his siblings, William "Bill" Jackson (Kathy) of Huntsville, AL and Suzie Rocha (Dennis) of California. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
