She was predeceased by: her husband Donald S. Turnage, Sr.; her parents, William Ross Walter, Sr. and Irene Stone Walter; her brother William Ross "Bill" Walter, Jr.; and her grandchildren, Kelly Rudolph and Donald S. "Spence" Turnage, III.

She is survived by: her children, Donald S. Turnage, Jr. (Mari) of Bayou Vista, Elizabeth Ann "Punkin" Ducrest (Felix) of Youngsville, Mary Alice "Molly" Flournoy (James) of Kingsland, TX, Ruth Irene "Ruthie" Larimer (Jack) of Lafayette and Rebecca Mae "Becky" Noel of Broussard; her sister Nannie Belle "Tugar" Todd of New Iberia; and her grandchildren, James "Jay" Rudolph, Alina Arcemont, Erin Bourque, Stephanie Keeling, Michelle Noel, Daniel Noel, Cari Thomas, Robin Lewis and Andrew Larimer. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
