He was predeceased by: his father Singleton; his grandparents, James Smith and Beulah Smith; and his stepfather Alton Tillman. He is survived by: his wife Carol Smith; his children, Ramah Smith (Tiffany) and Toya Burris; his grandchildren, Cardeja, John, Amari, Amir of Bogalusa, K'Saan and Ramahj of LaPlace, LA; his mother Emma Tillman of Natchez, MS; his siblings, Juanita, Potters, Ruthie Pendleton, Lea Edna Williams, Walter Smith, Eddie Tillman of Natchez, MS and George Tillman; his mother-in-law Katherine Evans; and also Willene Elzey.
