It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnnie Brown Young (Benton, Louisiana), born in Bastrop, Louisiana, who passed away on February 23, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husbands, Dewey Webster Brown and Carroll Abner Young; her half-brother Eugene Gordon; her granddaughter Melissa Brown Culp; and her great grandchild Shelby Linn Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Brown McLaughlin (Samuel) of Benton, LA, Charles, Dewey Eugene "Sonny" Brown of Bastrop, LA and Reggie Dean Brown (Cheryl) of Collinston, LA; her stepdaughter Gennie Brown Crenshaw (Leonard) of Collinston, LA; and her grandchildren, Tina Aulds Peddy, Charles Shane Brown, Rodney Gene Brown, Michael Dean Brown, Brittany Kathleen Brown, Cynthia Dawn Hardt and Dustin Eugene Brown. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren.
