She was predeceased by: her parents, Otera Martin Breeland and John D. Breeland; her siblings, Elmo Breeland (Ida), Ansel Breeland (Ilita) and Helen McCrary (Jewell); and her parents-in-law, Annette Gaubert Bowers and Nelson Bowers.

She is survived by: her sister Virginia Breeland (Lionel Carr); her husband Albert Anthony Bowers; her sons, Gary Bowers (Susan), Burt Bowers (Jennifer), Larry Bowers and Dr. Alan Bowers; her grandsons, Clinton Bowers (Chase), Clayton Bowers (Codi), Dr. Andrew Karr Bowers (Leslie), Blake Bowers, Jude Bowers and William Bowers; her great grandchildren, William Bowers, Avonleigh Bowers, Isaac Bowers and Maddox Bowers; and her grandsons, Gary Bowers, Burt Bowers, Larry Bowers and Dr. Alan Bowers. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
