He was predeceased by: his sister Barbara Yarbrough; and his brother-in-law Mike Jones. He is survived by: his mother Helen "Franny" Adkins; his children, Matt Adkins (Nancy) and Amy Mayfield (Chris); his grandchildren, Charlie, Cullen, Clara Adkins, Reese Mayfield and Case Mayfield; and his sisters, Susan Lawrence (Robert) and Carol Jones. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
